Internationalization

The department of social work has a large international network of contacts and takes part in diverse cooperative and exchange programmes such as Erasmus, Nordplus and Linneaus/Palme. We currently offer three international master's programmes: MFAMILY, Social Work Human Rights and Global Health.

About 50 students travel abroad each year for a period of study, mainly field practice or term 6 (bachelor thesis). The programmes also provide for teacher exchange, and several guest lecturers from other universities visit the department during a year to take part in the normal instruction. Moreover, the department offers courses in English for incoming exchange students.

The department participates in many other international colloborative projects as well, for example Universities in Uganda, India, Rwanda, Russia, United Kingdom and in The United States of America.
